Everything Houston Rockets showed out Monday night against the San Antonio Spurs.

Everything Houston Rockets showed out Monday night against the San Antonio Spurs.

The way this team was designed to operate, clicked on all cylinders.

The three-ball was falling, the ball movement was superb and the pace of the offense was vacillating!

It was too much for the Spurs to handle as our team pushed the pedal to the floor.

It highly unlikely that we’ll see a repeat of that tonight as the Spurs are going to get physical with us, especially near the arc.

But if it does happen again, this will likely mean this series will be over rather quickly and our current opponent will have some retooling to do in the off season.

I highly doubt the latter but it’s a possibility.

This will continue to be a terrific series to watch and I’m positive tonight’s game won’t disappoint.

We’ll have to see what happens tonight.

So who’s leading the charge for the Spurs?

Kawhi Leonard leads the team in scoring (29.7 PPG), assists (4.1 APG), steals (1.7 SPG).  LaMarcus Aldridge leads in rebounds (7.1 RPG).  Danny Green leads in blocks (0.9 BPG).

Let’s talk about what the Spurs do well.

Their offense remains robust despite Game 1.  The Spurs are 3rd in the playoffs in regard to offensive efficiency, averaging 113.3 points per 100 possessions.

They take care of the basketball quite well.  The Spurs are 2nd in turnover ratio — tied with the Cleveland Cavaliers — with a meager 11.7 percent of their possessions ending with a turnover.

They’re still great on the boards.  The Spurs are 1st in rebound rate, taking down 52.1 percent of missed shots.
