Despite all of the challenges the Houston Texans have faced this season whether it be injuries, lack of execution of the game plan or just plain brain farts, this team is still standing at the top of the AFC South with a 5-3 record.

Despite all of the challenges the Houston Texans have faced this season whether it be injuries, lack of execution of the game plan or just plain brain farts, this team is still standing at the top of the AFC South with a 5-3 record.

This team is quite talented from top to bottom and you better believe Bill O’Brien is going to have these guys prepared to reach their full potential.

Hopefully.

There are a lot of new moving parts to this roster that have to integrate with the existing ones so it’s going to take some time to see that cohesiveness that we want.

Until then, let’s sit back, relax and enjoy watching this Houston Texans team do work.

The Houston Texans will be facing a Jacksonville Jaguars team that has far fell below expectations for this season and it seems impossible for them to climb out of the hole they’ve dug themselves in.

However, this isn’t any indication that the Houston Texans should take them lightly as they know how to play well when they have reason, such as being provoked.

The Jaguars’ defense is ranked 11th in terms of yards allowed (334.5 yards per game).  They are ranked 6th against the pass (217.6 YPG) and 24th against the run (116.9 YPG).

They’re offense is ranked 17th (345.4 YPG).

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s game:

Bold Predictions:

1.) Blake Bortles will throw for only 125 yards and sacked at least twice.

The Houston Texans have some talent all over their defensive line and we know they’re quite good at the pass rush as I mentioned.

Jadeveon Clowney, Whitney Mercilus, Vince Wilfork (possibly depending on health status) and Brian Cushing are all going to be feasting on this opportunity and it’s going to happen.

The Houston Texans are decently-ranked 10th in the league in quarterback hits with 50 on the season.

With the Jags’ offensive line being ranked near the bottom of the pack, according to Football Outsiders, our guys are going to bust through and make plays.

2.)  Brock Osweiler will have ZERO interceptions today.

That’s going out on a limb making that particular prediction but if were to be any game this season to happen, it could be this one.

But as good as the Jags are defending the pass, there’s still a possibility this feat won’t be undertaken.

He’ll have to deal with Paul Posluszny, Prince Amukamara and Jalen Ramsey as he goes through the motions.

I know Brock is hopefully committed to ensure that he makes better decisions and that starts with taking care of the football.

He’ll be cautious but there’s no doubt that he’s going to at least try to go deep to Will Fuller V and DeAndre Hopkins at least a few times.

I’ll just have to cover my eyes when that happens.

Oh, the humanity!

Osweiler has thrown at least one pick over the past eight weeks for a total of nine on the season.

Those rare exceptions were against the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos.

But he didn’t have to as that game was already out-of-hand for the Houston Texans.

He’s getting back on track as his played quite decently against the Detroit Lions — let’s hope this upward trend continues.

3.)  Lamar Miller will rush for 200 rushing yards.

Despite the woes of our offensive line, it’s ranked quite high with their run blocking.

Lamar Miller seems to be fully-healed from the shoulder injury he sustained a few weeks ago as he is no longer on the injury report.

As bad as the Jags are at defending the run, there’s plenty of opportunity to get our top back going early.

But we’ll have to see how that pans out.

Game Score Prediction: 27-17 in a Houston Texans’ win!

Go Texans.
