Despite all of the challenges the Houston Texans have faced this season whether it be injuries, lack of execution of the game plan or just plain brain farts, this team is still standing at the top of the AFC South with a 3-1 record.

Despite all of the challenges the Houston Texans have faced this season whether it be injuries, lack of execution of the game plan or just plain brain farts, this team is still standing at the top of the AFC South with a 3-1 record.

This team is quite talented from top to bottom and you better believe Bill O’Brien is going to have these guys prepared to reach their full potential.

There are a lot of new moving parts to this roster that have to integrate with the existing ones so it’s going to take some time to see that cohesiveness that we want.

Until then, let’s sit back, relax and enjoy watching this Texans team do work.

The Texans will take on the Minnesota Vikings today where two defenses — to which they’ve come into their own in terms of being elite — will be sparing off to help their respective teams win.

The Texans are ranked 5th and the Vikings are 7th in the league in total defense yielding 287.8 and 306 yards per game respectively.

I doubt this will be one of the most exciting games offensively but you’re going to see an admirable defensive performance on both sides of the football.

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s game:

Bold Predictions:

1.)  Sam Bradford will have his worst game of the season.

You know, life has been good for Bradford since being rescued from the Philadelphia Eagles.  He and Mike Zimmer have been able to connect on levels we couldn’t imagine and it’s showing on the football field.  He honestly is looking like he did coming out of the University of Oklahoma.  In fact, he has passed for 719 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions through three games for a whopping 105.5 quarterback rating!  But the Texans’ No.1-ranked talented pass rush will have something in store for the budding star under center.  The Texans have allowed a stingy 162.5 yards per game.

2.)  Brock Osweiler will have ZERO interceptions today.

That’s really going out on a limb making that particular prediction but I know Brock is committed to ensure that he makes better decisions and that starts with taking care of the football.  He’ll be cautious but there’s no doubt that he’s going to at least try to go deep to Will Fuller V at least a few times.  I’ll just have to cover my eyes when that happens.  Oh, the humanity!  Osweiler has thrown at least one pick over the past four weeks for a total of six on the season.  It’s time for him to right the ship and it can definitely start with this game.

3.)  Our defense will force at least TWO interceptions.

Our defense is primed to ensure that a bone-crunching pass rush is what Bradford gets today.  If they can force him to start to get frustrated and make bad decisions with the football, this could lead to him throwing some picks.  Yes, I said it, the zero interceptions streak that he currently has so far will end today!  The Texans have only two picks for the year — with Quintin Demps and Andre Hal earning one each.  That’s gotta change.

Game Score Prediction: 14-10 in a Texans’ win!

Go Texans.
