Five Free Agents The Houston Astros Should Consider

Coming off what most would consider a successful season, the Houston Astros finished with a record 70-92 which was a nice increase from the 51-111 season in 2013. With the Astros improving and the prospects coming up through the minor league system, the Astros are ready to make the next step.

Houston Astros owner, Jim Crane, recently stated that the Astros could add $20 million to the payroll this off season. If this is the case the Astros could be in play for a few free agents this off season.

Most fans and bloggers believe the Astros will look towards third base, outfield, starting pitching and relief pitching to improve the club. Here are five free agents that the Houston Astros should consider.
