Ribbies, Runs & Rehab: Houston Astros MiLB Recap: Aug. 29

It’s all concluded! Friday night’s action in the Pacific Coast, Texas, California and Midwest Leagues resulted in two of our four teams prevailing over their respective opponents.  A split!

The River Bandits were able to win one out of their doubleheader against the Clinton LumberKings.

Houston Astros’  reliever pitcher Darin Downs has been on the disabled list since August 15 and reported to the Corpus Christi Hooks Thursday to begin his rehab assignment.

He made his debut last night and will pitch one more time possibly tomorrow or Monday for the Hooks.  Then a decision will be made  in regard to the timetable on his return back to the team.

Downs struck out three, allowed two hits and no earned runs in one inning of work.
