The Houston Texans have cut three more players since earlier this morning. WR Travis Lahbart, S Jawanza Starling, and TE Zach Potter have been released, trimming the current Texans roster to 70.

The Texans started their cuts earlier this morning, letting go of K Chris Boswell and FB Toben Opurum.

Labhart was a fan favorite during the preseason as many believed he could be the Texans slot receiver. The Texans, however, will go with Mike Thomas or Keshawn Martin in the slot, with DeVier Posey as the team’s other backup behind Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins. The Texans will likely put Labhart on the team’s practice squad if he clears waivers.

Both Starling and Potter faced uphill battles to make the team’s final roster. However, both were considered longshots, as they were several spots behind on the depth chart.

All players released today and tomorrow will be clear waivers on Sunday at 11 AM CT.

The Texans have until Saturday to get their final roster down to 53.
