Houston Texans Getting Closer To Final 53-Man Roster; Cut Boswell, Opurum

The Houston Texans must trim their roster to 53 before Saturday’s deadline.

They have started making some of their cuts today.

Opurum was not likely to make the roster. FB Jay Prosch will be the only Texans fullback on the roster.

As Palmer notes, Randy Bullock has won the Texans kicking job. Boswell looked good at times during training camp and preseason, but Bullock didn’t do anything to lose his job, including nailing a 52-yard FG in last night’s game. Boswell may get an opportunity elsewhere.

James Palmer (CSN Houston) was told the Texans would likely be making most of their cuts today.

We’ll have all the latest on the Texans cuts as they make their way towards their final 53-man roster.
