Report: Houston Rockets Trying To Acquire Ramon Sessions

The Houston Rockets are looking to acquire free agent Ramon Sessions in a sign-and-trade deal, according to Alex Kennedy (Basketball Insiders).

We heard about potential interest in Sessions almost a month ago from Andrew Prue (California Live).

Ramon Sessions, 28, averaged 12.3 points and 4.1 assists per game with the Charlotte Bobcats (at the time) and Milwaukee Bucks last season.

The Rockets traded away Jeremy Lin this past offseason, and currently are relying on Isaiah Canaan and Ishmael Smith as backup point guards. If acquired, Sessions would bring some scoring off the bench and likely take over as the team’s backup point guard.

The Rockets currently have 19 players on the roster, so it’d be interesting to see who and what the Rockets send Milwaukee’s way if they indeed agree on a deal.
