Houston Astros Rumors: Possibility Of A Trade At 50 Percent Or Just A Tick Higher

GM Jeff Luhnow told Evan Drellich (Houston Chronicle) that the possibility of a trade involving his Houston Astros remains at 50 percent or possibly just a bit higher.

The Astros have been very active according to reports so they seem to be working many different avenues, trying to improve this team’s present and future.

Chris Carter, Tony Sipp, and several starting pitchers, including Collin McHugh and Jarred Cosart seem to be the names being mentioned the most.

In McHugh and Cosart’s case, the Astros would need to be overwhelmed by other teams if they want to trade their young, good, and controllable pitchers.

The Astros reportedly have also told other teams that Chad Qualls isn’t going anywhere. Along with Qualls, it seems like Dallas Keuchel has also been taken off the market.

The trade deadline is today at 3:00 PM CT.
