Houston Astros Trade Jarred Cosart To Miami Marlins

The Houston Astros have traded Jarred Cosart to the Miami Marlins, according to Mark Berman (MyFox26).

Brian McTaggart (MLB.com) says Enrique Hernandez will also be traded to the Marlins.J on Heyman (CBS Sports) says Austin Wates will also head to Miami.

A Marlins beat writer has the return. The Astros have said they will also received RP Frances Martes. 

Colin Moran, 21, was the 6th overall pick in the 2013 Draft. The Astros reportedly considered taking him #1 overall, before ultimately deciding on taking Mark Appel.

The third-baseman is slashing .294/.342/.735 at High Single-A Jupiter this past season.

Jake Marisnick, 23, hit just .167 at the MLB level this season. He was rated as the #65 prospect by MLB.com before the 2014 season.

At AAA this season, Marisnick has slashed .277/.326/.434 with 10 HR and 40 RBI in 342 at-bats.

The Astros have said Marisnick will report to the Major League club. Moran will report to Double-A Corpus Christi.
