Houston Astros Rumors: Astros "Very, Very Busy" With Calls On Jarred Cosart

The Houston Astros are very busy with calls on Jarred Cosart and have taken Dallas Keuchel off the market, according to Ken Rosenthal (FoxSports).

Jarred Cosart is 9-7 with a 4.41 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 116.1 innings pitched this season.

The 24-year old was acquired in the trade that sent Hunter Pence to Philadelphia a few years ago. Cosart was expected to be one of the anchors of the Astros rotation for years to come, but it appears he may be on the move.

The Astros would need to be overwhelmed by a trade offer in order to deal Cosart. He is still very young and yet to reach his prime, and the Astros could use a Cosart-like pitcher in their rotation in the future.

For now, the Astros have taken Dallas Keuchel off the market. The Astros would have needed a huge return to let go of their ace.

The trade deadline is today at 3:00 PM CT.
