Report: Houston Rockets Interested In Ramon Sessions

The Houston Rockets and Ramon Sessions have had discussions, according to Andrew Prue (California Live).

Sources close to the former University of Nevada star say he’s had discussions with a few NBA teams, including the Houston Rockets.

Ramon Sessions, 28, averaged 12.3 points and 4.1 assists per game with the Charlotte Bobcats (at the time) and Milwaukee Bucks last season.

The Rockets traded away Jeremy Lin and currently have Isaiah Canaan and Ishmael Smith as the two point guards off the bench. It’s possible we see Nick Johnson and/or Troy Daniels get some time running the one as well.

Sessions would be brought in to help bolster the team’s depth. How much of an upgrade he can be over Canaan or others is the question GM Daryl Morey and the Rockets would have to decide.

I don’t see the Rockets and Sessions coming to a deal unless the Rockets have another move up their sleeves. I’ve been wrong before though!
