Houston Rockets Sign Rookie Forward Clint Capela

The Houston Rockets have signed their first rounder, Clint Capela, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports.

Capela was the 25th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Original thought expected the Rockets to try and stash Capela overseas for this season. However, the offseason swing and misses have changed that thought.

With the signing of Jeff Adrien, Capela is no higher than fourth on the team’s depth chart at power forward. Terrence Jones is currently the penciled in starter and Donatas Motiejunas has earned some playing time with a strong Summer League performance.

The roster currently stands at 17, but expect that to change within the next few months. The Rockets are very deep at positions and will either wave some of their depth, or package several players to try and bring in a quality third piece.
