The Houston Rockets will take on the Sacramento Kings in tonight’s Vegas Summer League final.
The Rockets (5-2) are coming off of a 83-79 win against the Charlotte Hornets. They were led by Isaiah Canaan‘s 24 points, and Donatas Motiejunas‘ 18-point, 13-rebound effort. Nick Johnson chipped in with 12 points.
The Kings (5-1) are coming off of a 74-62 win against the Washington Wizards. They had four players in double digits, led by Marshon Brooks who dropped 14 points, all in the second quarter.
Motiejunas earned All-NBA Summer League first team honors. He has averaged 16.9 points and 8.4 rebounds, while shooting 62% from the field in 7 games in the Las Vegas Summer League. The Rockets have been led by Canaan’s 17.3 ppg and Motiejunas’ 16.9 ppg. Second round rookie, Nick Johnson, averages 11.9 ppg. The Kings have a more balanced attack with Ben McLemore leading the team in scoring at 13.2 ppg, followed by Quincy Acy‘s 12.2 ppg, MarShon Brooks’ 11.3 ppg, and Nik Stauskus’ 9.8 ppg.
Tonight’s championship game will tip off at 8:00 PM CT and can be seen on CSN Houston or NBA TV.
