Just two days after being waived from the Phoenix Suns, Ish Smith found his home in the great state of Texas…again
The Suns back-up point guard first played for the Rockets in his rookie season of 2010-11. He has since played with the Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks.
Ish Smith is second All Time in assists at Wake Forest. Smith averaged 3.7 ppg, 2.6 apg and 1.8 rpg last season.
According to Houston Chronicle writer Jonathan Feigen, the Rockets will offer Ish Smith a one year, minimum contract.

Ish is good for the Rockets and will fit perfectly into the squad as they like to focus on early offensive opportunities just like the Phoenix Suns.
The Rockets have been focused on revamping the roster after a disappointing first round exit in last year’s playoffs.
With the trades of Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik, plus the loss of Chandler Parsons to the Mavericks, the Rockets have turned to adding bench players. They re-signed Troy Daniels, and added Trevor Ariza, Joey Dorsey, Jeff Adrien and now Smith.
The Houston Rockets have created a streak of signing former Rockets players this summer and the addition of Ish Smith increases the list to four.
