Houston Rockets: An Endorsement For Trevor Ariza

The Houston Rockets have at least one building block cemented for the franchise’s stride to be just as competitive and successful as they were the year previous.

That should always be the goal for any NBA franchise.  There’s always room for improvement, there’s always something to tweak to get better.

That mantra is at the forefront of many general managers minds league-wide all of the time.

It’s embodied in Daryl Morey’s DNA.

That building block that I speak of is blossoming small forward Trevor Ariza.  The Rockets think that he is what they need.

No high-price tag, no super-stardom, just a solid, blue-collar player trying to get better.

When you really think about it, were our championship teams loaded with superstars?  No.  Outside of The Dream, guys like Kenny Smith, Sam Cassell, Robert Horry were making a name for themselves and carved themselves a niche that solidified their careers.

After recovering from the hangover of not being to land Chris Bosh, I thought for awhile in terms of how positive this pick up is for the Rockets.

This can work and he will be a solid addition to the front court.

What if it were Trevor Ariza guarding Damian Lillard in Game 6 of the West First Round against the Portland Trail Blazers instead of Chandler Parsons?

Does he get that shot off?  We will never know.

With that being said, this Rocket fan would like to fully endorse Ariza’s arrival back to H-Town.

But you don’t have to take my word for it.  Take a gander below:

Dwight Howard‘s warm-welcoming tweet:

Patrick Beverley‘s endorsement with quick analysis:

The Washington Wizards’ John Wall mentioning how good of a teammate he had been:

With this many words of encouragement, I honestly feel that something amazing going to happen here with this ballplayer.

We may not see it now, we may not see it early in the season but it’s going to happen.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Ariza has arrived and it’s time rally behind him.

Welcome back Trevor, I hope that your stay this time around is a productive, memorable and a elongated one.
