Report: Houston Rockets Interested In Rajon Rondo And Kevin Love

The Houston Rockets will look into Rajon Rondo and Kevin Love now that their cap situation is settled, according to Marc Stein (ESPN).

The Rockets declined Chandler Parsons‘ offer sheet, leaving them with much more flexibility for a third “star” piece.

The problem, however, would be the assets the Rockets currently have. They will have a trade exception, as well as non-guaranteed contracts to make a trade, but they may not have the ammo to make the Boston Celtics or the Minnesota Timberwolves want to pull the trigger.

A Love trade seems extremely unlikely, though there is a possibility the Rockets could swing a deal for Rondo. He should cost the Rockets less than Love, but it would mean Morey would have to pull off another incredible trade to make hit happen.

Never doubt Daryl!

fuck Chandler Parsons sorry ass, he the reason why lillard hit that gw shot

    • bridgebuilder78

Yeah, name one small forward in all of NBA who can keep up with that little dart named Lillard. Houston got beat at the buzzer because McFail is clueless, draws no plays, and knows no defense.

Go watch the replay on Youtube and see for yourself. It was harden who directed Parsons to guard Lillard, but Harden then failed to make a switch. No surprise there, Harden ain’t your average defensive juggernut:

      • KA

11:31 when dude played 2774 minutes. He does have some bad defensive habits, and ball watching is the worst(and consistently what you see here, he turns his head his man cuts, any ball player knows to cut when you see the back of the head of the man guarding you). Harden plays good defense when he wants to which is why it is frustrating to watch him, but if he was the worst ever this video would be longer than Dr. Zhivago. He really is going to have to focus and put effort in on every defensive possession if the rockets are going to win in the playoffs. He’s capable but makes some terrible fundamental mistakes, like not always seeing BOTH the ball and his man at all times. Peripheral vision, use it! That game winner is not Harden’s fault, Beverley’s man sets the pick, Parsons can’t run with Lillard anyway, Beverley should have been assigned to him, the entire defensive concept was flawed there, and he still had to hit an incredible shot.

Stupid, it was Harden who switched Beverly and Parsons, then never picked up Lillard when Parsons couldn’t recover. It was Harden’s idiocy and laziness that allowed that gw shot. Have a clue.

      • KA

Another Lin fan by the name, probably who believes Lin’s inconsistency is all Harden and McHales fault. Coaches tell you who to match up with, and that is not Harden’s switch, if he switches, they give up a lay up, that is why the concept was flawed, no one should be playing underneath Lillard there and giving him a free run. Harden was likely communicating what McHale wanted, he’s not going to decide on his own what the matchup should be, if you’ve ever played you’d understand that. Have fun blaming Kobe for Lin’s inconsistent play this year.

        • ForTheLin

Can’t argue with Stupid. So, you use fantasy speculation as fact to support your idiocy? You can’t believe your own eyes? Harden came out, looked at Beverly and Parsons and indicated with his hands for them to switch. Then, he WATCHED Lilliar fly by him and hit his shot. Hey, if you want to believe your own lies, let me let you in on this one–Kobe’s Taiwanese. Don’t believe your eyes.

          • KA

OK, you’re obviously a jackass, watch Bickerstaff yelling and motioning from the bench at the same time harden is, he doesn’t stop until they’ve switched. Coaches tell the players who to guard idiot. Harden was relaying what the coach was screaming, but that’s ok, you can put it on head coach Harden if you like. Harden leaves, his man cuts to the rack for a wide open layup, hence my comment about the defensive concept being wrong for the play. I understand basketball, I played for 17 years, you dunce.

          • ForTheLin

Stupid speculation. Bickerstaff was probably yelling Where’s LIn!? And, Mchale was thinking I sat him cuz he was stuffing LIllard. C’mon, give it up. And, playing at the Y doesn’t make you Phil Jackson anymore than my telling Obama he’s wrong makes me President.

          • KA

I played at they Y from Kindergarten to 6th grade, after that I actually only played competitive ball for my schools, but whatever you need to tell yourself. I’m sure they wanted Lin for defense when he actually had a worse defensive rating than Harden for the season(per Basketball-reference), but every Lin fan has an excuse for his shortcomings. Lin’s a good scoring combo guard, not an all-star, nor will his numbers ever be deserving to get him in an all-star game, but most players in the NBA don’t make all-star games, nothing wrong with that, fan voting may get him there, but that would be the only way. I can’t wait to read the excuses on why Lin isn’t consistent next year, should be very entertaining.

          • ForTheLin

Yep, hold your breath, son. Out.

        • busherbee

Have fun watching the Wockets next year LOL

          • KA

They’ll be much better than the Lakers, and they’ll still win 50+.

          • busherbee

Yes, that’s why you pay 2 max superstars….. to be better than…… the Lakers… tsssss

          • KA

They’ll compete with the blazers(2 superstars) and warriors, they’ll finish between 4-6, talk to me in April.

          • busherbee

First round exit. Again. C U then.

          • busherbee

            You got it

    • raveur

To be fair, it’s thanks to Parson’s good rebound and layup score on the other end 1 second earlier that the Rockets were ahead by 2.

      • YO MOMMA NEW “FRIEND”

don’t matter, he blew the game at the end

  • busherbee

Rondo and Love have reportedly “no interest” in going to Houston. AP
