The Houston Rockets and Troy Daniels are working on a deal to bring back the sharpshooter, according to Shams Charania (RealGM).

The Rockets made Daniels a restricted free agent on June 30th, but had and still have every intention to bring him back.

Several other teams have contacted Daniels including the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Rockets can match any offer from another team, and would have three days to decide whether to keep him.

It seems like the Rockets are interested in signing him to a longterm deal. Daniels earned a new contract with his play off the bench in the playoffs. He hit 8 of 15 three pointers against the Blazers including a clutch three to give the Rockets one of their two playoff wins this past postseason.

The Rockets may wait till after they decide on Chandler Parsons so they are sure what their cap situation looks like.
