Houston Rockets Had Plan To Match Chandler Parsons' Offer

According to ESPN Dallas writer, Tim MacMahon the Houston Rockets intend to match the Dallas Mavericks three-year, $45 million offer sheet for Chandler Parsons.

The Houston Rockets had a plan match the offer after Chris Bosh signed, a source told ESPNDallas.com. However, Chris Bosh decided to resign with the Miami Heat so it is up in the air on what the Rockets will do with Chandler Parsons.

The Rockets have made several trades in order to free up salary cap space so they could sign Chris Bosh to a near max contract.

The original plan was to  match the offer sheet for Chandler Parsons and sign Chris Bosh, so that they would  have four players on the roster making max salaries.

Dwight Howard and James Harden are already signed on to the Rockets and they will anxiously wait for the decision of Rockets front office on whether or not to retain Chandler Parsons.

The Houston Rockets will have until late Sunday night to match the Dallas Mavericks offer. Chandler Parsons’ offer sheet starts at $14.7 million and will increase every year.

If the Rockets choose to host Chandler Parsons, it will end any talks of the Rockets signing Trevor Ariza or Luol Deng.

It has been a very active last few days in the NBA as well as the Houston Rockets’ front office. As time passes, it seems like Chandler Parsons will be in a Rockets jersey next season.
