Fans, Fury & Fireworks: Houston Astros MiLB Recap: July 4

It’s all done! Friday night’s pulsating action in the Pacific Coast, Texas, California and Midwest Leagues resulted in two out of our four teams prevailing over their respective opponents.

Jonathan Villar led a four-run rally in the 8th Inning to help the RedHawks to deter the Iowa Cubs 4-3.  Villar hit a two-run single that eventually sealed the deal.

The Hooks’ Delino Deshields smacked three RBIs to help the team blank the Springfield Cardinals 8-0 while shattering attendance records along the way.

The JetHawks could not seem to get a rhythm going against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes eventually falling 2-4.  Teoscar Hernandez went 1-for-4, with a double, a walk and a stolen base.

The River Bandits could not overcome a killer, five-run 9th Inning by the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to lose the lead as well as the game.  The Timber Rattlers disrupted a shutout going by the River Bandits pitchers for eight innings strong.

Jose Fernandez chipped in one homer, went 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
