Interesting listening to Dwight after the Melo lunch talk about Parsons as certain to be back. “I don’t think it’s a question mark.”

Parsons was never expected to leave the Rockets and Howard’s remarks definitely add to that thinking.
The forward was a big part of the reason Howard chose to ditch the Los Angeles Lakers and join forces with the Rockets. Howard and Parsons have formed a great relationship together, so Howard is likely in touch with Parsons about his free agency plans.
The Rockets have asked Parsons to wait a few days/weeks before the big free agents (Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James) have announced their future destinations. The Rockets could bring back Parsons after signing either star, and Parsons was reportedly in the Rockets plans when they presented to Anthony.
In the meantime Parsons has to be happy with all the money going around to average players. Parsons will likely get a large offer sheet from some team and it will be up to the Rockets to match it, or work out a more friendly contract for both parties to ensure Parsons stays in Houston.
