The Houston Rockets are interested in PF/C Spencer Hawes according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
Stretch big man Spencer Hawes drawing interest from clutch of contenders already (Blazers, Clips, Rockets, Mavs) on top of incumbent Cavs

I wrote about how Spencer Hawes would be the PERFECT fit in Houston just over a half a year ago and things haven’t changed since.
Hawes is the ideal backup big man the Rockets need. He’s a 7″1 center that can knock down shots from beyond the arc and grab rebounds. Think a poor man’s Kevin Love.
The 26-year old averaged 13.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per over 80 games (53 with Philadelphia and 27 with Cleveland) this past season. He hit 128 three pointers last season, shooting 41.6% from three.
He’s a big body with the ability to stretch the floor and battle in the paint, something the Rockets have been looking to acquire for some time. Hawes is just entering his prime and can make some money on a multi-year contract this offseason.
If the Rockets can convince Hawes to come to Houston, Hawes would fit in perfectly behind Dwight Howard, or even as a stretch four at times during the game.
Stick with House of Houston for all the latest on the Rockets’ offseason.
