According to Jon Krawczynski (AP) the Rockets could get involved the Kevin Love sweepstakes.

Krawczynski is an AP writer based in Minneapolis.

Love would be a nice fit in Houston, filling the stretch four position quite well, along with being an elite rebounder. However, unlike free agents LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, Love would have to be traded to the Rockets.

I can’t imagine the Rockets looking to trade for Love quite yet. The Rockets are still focused on bringing in James or Anthony, and trading for Love would all but end those scenarios.

If the Rockets strike out on James and Anthony, and Love still hasn’t been traded yet, then the Rockets could jump into the fray. They Rockets could offer the Timberwolves a competitive offer surrounding Chandler Parsons, Terrence Jones, Omer Asik, and picks, as suggested above.

For now, the Rockets will likely wait on decisions from big time free agents before possibly trading for Kevin Love.
