Doubles, Delays & Dingers: Houston Astros MiLB Recap: June 19

It’s over!  Thursday night’s grind-out action in the Pacific Coast, Texas, California and Midwest Leagues resulted in two out of our four teams prevailing over their respective opponents.

The River Bandits’ match up against the Peoria Chiefs was postponed because of rain — they will resume play tonight in a doubleheader.

The RedHawks continued to demonstrate to the Reno Aces who had the better hand by pushing out 15 hits coupled with another glorious night from Gregorio Petit.  He went 3-for-4 and registered another RBI Triple.

The Corpus Christi Hooks trailed for most of the game but had a powerful 7th Inning to tie the game before going extra innings; but, it was the RoughRiders that punched their way through in the 10th Inning to defeat the Hooks.  Nolan Fontana went 2-for-4 with two ribbies.

The JetHawks got out to a lead early in the game and never looked back.  The Lake Elsinore Storm were no match as the JetHawks cruised to a 13-7 win!  The team had 17 hits and 13 RBI’s — Teoscar Hernandez shined by going 2-for-5, earning a double, smacking a home run — his 13th on the season — and contributing four of those 13 RBI’s.
