O-Fer, Caught In the Act: Houston Astros MiLB Recap: June 18

Case closed!  Wednesday night’s abbreviated action in the Pacific Coast, Texas, California and Midwest Leagues resulted in none of our four teams prevailing over their respective opponents.  Ouch!

The JetHawks and the River Bandits are taking some well-deserved days off but resume play tonight.

The RedHawks got out-dueled late in the 9th Inning causing them to surprisingly fall 6-7 to the Reno Aces.  Gregorio Petit went 2-for-4 with three RBI’s while David Martinez pitched 4.2 innings in relief and struck out six after Asher Wojciechowski‘s early exit in his Triple-A debut.

The Corpus Christi Hooks could not topple over the San Antonio Missions despite playing 12-hit ball and getting a monster game out of Jonathan Meyer — he went 3-for-4 with an RBI Triple, a double and a run scored.  Three players were caught stealing on three separate occasions trying to make things happen.
