Sweat, Steals & Strikes : Houston Astros MiLB Recap: June 4

It’s the bottom of the order! Wednesday night’s energetic action in the Pacific Coast, Texas, California and Midwest Leagues resulted in one out of our four teams securing a win!  The Redhawks had a badly-needed night off.

It did not bode well for the Corpus Christi Hooks but David Rollins allowed only two runs in four innings, fanning five with no walks.  Another positive tidbit is that Richard Rodriguez, in his first start with the Hooks, pitched two scoreless innings, striking out four.  Carlos Perdomo did go 2-for-3 in his Hooks’ debut!

The sizzling Jethawks were still able to defeat the Inland Empire 66ers, who made a late rally in the 6th to pull within two runs.  The urge to steal continues with six bases being stolen between the likes of Teoscar Hernandez, Carlos Correa and Tony Kemp!  Each have 19, 17 and 22 respectively!  Chris Devenski struck out eight!  Wow!

For the River Bandits, they couldn’t overcome the sting of 12 hits smacked out by the Burlington Bees — QC’s offense was near anemic tonight.
