Houston Astros Minor League Recap: May 16th

Houston Astros MiLB Recap

All four teams were in action. I have had some bad luck doing recaps this season. I am still waiting for a sweep from the minor league teams. Unfortunately that will have to wait as they went 2-2 last night. Oh and Tony Kemp needs to get promoted, like yesterday!

AAA: Oklahoma City Redhawks (24-18) won 6-5 (BOX SCORE)

Santana with back to back games with stolen bases. Relief pitching for OKC was fantastic. Hernandez is hitting .306 since his promotion to AAA. Chambers is hitting .381 though only in 21 at bats.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (21-20) lost 9-7 (BOX SCORE)

DeShields has scored 11 runs and stole 6 bases in his last 10 games. Aplin has 28 RBI in 40 games this season. Tucker with his 7th bomb on the season. Sclafani has 5 multi hit games in a row with a total of 12 hits in those games. Unfortunately Rodgers has given up 5 ER in back to back outings.

A+: Lancaster Jethawks (25-17) won 14-7 (BOX SCORE)

Huge offensive game for Lancaster. Kemp is really pushing for a promotion. He is hitting .373 with 48 R, 23 BB/19 SO and 15 SB in 41 games. Correa keeps on racking up the RBIs, now has 32 in 34 games and 14 RBI in his last 10 games. Hernandez is hitting .289 with 11 2B, 6 3B, 5 HR, 32 RBI and 11 SB in 39 games this season.

A: Quad Cities River Bandits (19-21) lost 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

Moon is 14-of-15 in stolen bases this season. Gregor still looking for his first homerun but he does 11 2B and 23 BB. Lee has a 2.65 ERA in 34 IP with 27 SO. Brunnemann has a 1.29 ERA with 23 SO/5 BB in 21 IP this season.
