Yesterday was a busy day as Houston Texans management worked to get as many draft picks as possible signed before this weekend’s rookie mini camp.
After reaching deals with Lonnie Ballentine and Alfred Blue on Wednesday, the Texans locked up another five more rookies.
The highest draft pick to sign is third rounder Louis Nix. Nix signed today for $2.85 million with a signing bonus just north of $575,000. The Texans also signed Jeoffrey Pagan this morning. The sixth rounder will earn $2.43 million with a $128,820 signing bonus.The Texans locked up three other rookies on Thursday. Fourth rounder Tom Savage signed a deal worth $2.2 million with a $300,000 signing bonus. Seventh rounder Andre Hal will receive $2.28 million with a signing bonus worth $69,124. Sixth rounder Jay Prosch agreed to terms with the Texans, though details of his contract have yet to be shared.
All seven draft picks signed four year deals with the Texans.
Jadeveon Clowney, Xavier Su’a-Filo, and C.J. Fiedorowicz have yet to agree to terms.
