Jonathan Singleton is showing this season that he is ready for a promotion too.
Houston Astros Minor League Recap: April 16th
As most know by now, George Springer was promoted to the Astros (LINK). Even losing Springer, Oklahoma City’s offense didn’t lose a beat. It seems Jonathan Singleton might think he is ready for a promotion too after 3 XBHs yesterday for OKC.
Oklahoma City Redhawks, Lancaster Jethawks and Quad Cities River Bandits were all in action with Corpus Christi Hooks getting the day off.
AAA: Oklahoma City Redhawks (10-4) won 8-6 (Box Score)
The Redhawks fortunately did not feel the loss of their #3 hitter, George Springer. OKC took a quick 1-0 lead before Jake Buchanan got shelled for 6 runs in the third inning. Singleton triple and scored bringing the Redhawks within four runs, 6-2. In the top of the 7th Max Stassi double and Singleton homered to score 2 runs and cement the game.
