National Team Allocations – January 3rd, 2014

The Dash were allocated three players by the North American Federations:

Whitney Engen #3 (United States) – A 26-year old defender who has 15 CAPS with the national team. She is currently with Tyresö FF of the Swedish league, her previous club, but will join the Dash following the completion of Tyresö’s UEFA Champions League campaign at the end of May at the latest.

Teresa Noyola #10 (Mexico) – Noyola was born in the US and played in the US system up to the U-20 level then switched to the Mexican national team. She is a creative force in the midfield who will wear the #10 jersey for the Dash. Last year she played for Seattle Reign FC before being traded to FC Kansas City.

Melissa Tancredi (Canada) – A forward who had a short lived stint with the Dash as she was traded three days later to Chicago Red Stars for goalkeeper Erin McLeod.

Trades Post Allocations

Erin McLeod #1 (Canada) – Acquired from Chicago for Tancredi, the 31-year old McLeod is the starting keeper for the Canadian national team and has been named the captain of the Dash. See Leopold Ponce’s spotlight on McLeod here.
