What’s the difference between the Los Angeles Angels and the Toronto Blue Jays? The Angels buy their “talent” whereas the Blue Jays simply try and trade for it. Both teams made huge moves in the last several offseasons looking to build up their teams and they have failed so far.

Both teams severely underperformed in 2013 and really need a big 2014 to get their fans back to loving their hometown team. The Angels took care of business against the Astros in a four-game series this past weekend, winning three of the games pretty convincingly. The Blue Jays will look to do the same in this three-game series.
There are a few players you think of when you hear Toronto Blue Jays.
  • Jose Reyes – When you hear his name, however, it’s often associated with the disabled list. Reyes won’t be playing in this three game series due to a hamstring injury.
  • Jose Bautista – If you’re on Twitter you have probably heard of him simply because he follows you. Remember that time you looked at your notifications and noticed Jose Bautista, a professional baseball player follows you?!? Sorry to disappoint you but he follows another 188,000 people too.
  • Moises Sierra – I’m kidding. Never heard of the guy before today. I hope they play him this series. He’s 0-8 this season.

What else do you need to know about the two teams? The Astros are ranked 24th in runs scored (21) and the Blue Jays are ranked 20th (22). The Astros are ranked 2nd in home runs (10) and the Blue Jays are tied for 4th (8). The Astros are ranked 28th in batting average (.191) and the Blue Jays are ranked 26th (.216). The Astros are ranked 28th in ERA (5.14) and the Blue Jays are ranked 22nd (4.57). So yea, this should be fun!

With all that said, let’s take a look at the matchups for each game.
