Houston Astros Minor League Week In Review

With the games finished on Sunday, week one of minor league baseball has come to a close. Oklahoma City, Corpus Christi, Lancaster and Quad Cities have all played 4 games this week. We will take a look at the Astros Minor League teams and see how they performed and the top performers from those teams. Let’s dig in!

Oklahoma City Redhawks (2-2):

The Redhawks finished up a four game series with Round Rock Express going 2-2 this week. Here are the top performers of the week:

Corpus Christi Hooks (3-1):

The Hooks played a four games, three against Tulsa Drillers and one against Springfield Cardinals finishing 3-1.  Here are some top performers, and there were quite a few good pitching performances:

Lancaster Jethawks (2-2): 

The Jethawks played a four games series against Lake Elsinore, splitting the series 2-2. This team is very talented and will be one to follow all season. Carlos Correa had a heck of an opening week. Here are some top performers:

Quad Cities River Bandits (2-2): 

The River Bandits also played a four game series against Kane County, splitting the series 2-2. Game was rained out on Friday so a double header was played on Saturday. Here are the top performers:
