Could the Houston Texans Draft Two Quarterbacks?

Texans fans are driving themselves crazy with all of the debating and uncertainty regarding the next quarterback. At a town hall meeting on Monday, head coach Bill O’Brien gave the following insight:

Would O’Brien and the Texans really pull a Mike Shannahan and draft two quarterbacks with so many holes and depth issues?

With 11 total picks, drafting two would not be as drastic as the Redskins trading a king’s ransom in 2012 to pick Robert Griffin III, and later select Kirk Cousins.

The situations are strikingly similar with Griffin III being the similar risk back then that Johnny Manziel is now. Why else would you take two quarterbacks other than the first selection being such a risk/temptation?

Manziel in round one. Aaron Murray, Zach Mettenberger, or someone else more conventional in a later round?

It’s very intriguing, and all but says that Case Keenum and T.J. Yates are both likely to be let go. Could one of them head to Baltimore and reunite with Coach Kubiak? We will see.

I refuse to believe that they have already made the decision to pick Blake Bortles considering how raw he is said to be. There is still more than a month to go before the draft and I can’t imagine the Texans have made their selection already.

The way I see it, Manziel may be the only way to keep this fan base interested after all of the veterans the Texans continue to let go. (Which by the way is making me look pretty smart).
