Teddy Bridgewater or Bridge Over Troubled Waters?

I know… the title needs some work, but the question remains. Did Teddy Bridgewater put himself at a disadvantage yesterday with a mediocre (at best) Pro Day?

I have been doing research on these QBs for a couple of months now and this is the first time we have heard anything negative about any of them in terms of actual performance. Yeah, we get the occasional “he’s too short” or “his arm strength isn’t strong enough” but this was verifiable facts that he did not perform as well as he should have during his scripted, should have been a cake walk, Pro Day.

I have heard several times from several people that Pro Days are glorified walk-throughs, so how does a QB who has assumably been prepping for this for months go in and lay the proverbial egg?

Well there will be a plethora of excuses, I have heard a bunch of them already. No glove, climate difference from Florida too great, even that he doesn’t want to go to Houston so he sucked on purpose. So what do we do with the information that Teddy looked more like Vince Young than Aaron Rodgers during his Pro Day? Even Vince Young went 54-56 on his Pro Day. Well crap.

So I leave it open for your discussion. Do you think that his sub par Pro Day will move him off the Texans board? Does this change your perspective on who the Texans should take at number 1? Does this information put you back on the Johnny Football bandwagon? The Clowney Car (see what I did there?)? Are you hoping to see more of Blake Bortles or his girlfriend? Do you have other ideas?

I am ruling out the possibility of trading back because I just don’t see any likely scenario that would make a team work want to move up for one of these guys, but if you have an idea about how and what team would trade up give me the details in the comments below.
