Preview: Houston Rockets At Chicago Bulls

Your 44-20 Houston Rockets continue their short road trip in Chicago to face the 35-29 Bulls. The Bulls are coming off a rough loss against the Spurs Tuesday night and the Rockets are coming off a loss of there own against the Thunder. The Rockets lead the season series 1-0 after defeating the Bulls by 15 earlier this season. Tonight’s game is scheduled for 6:00 PM and can be seen on TNT.

The Matchups

Point Guard: Patrick Beverley v.s. Kirk Hinrich

Beverley has been all over the news as of late regarding his “peskiness” or as some say, his “dirty” play. He will be in the spotlight again tonight. The Bulls run with both Hinrich and Augustin, Rockets run with both Beverley and Lin.

Edge: Rockets

Shooting Guard: James Harden v.s. Jimmy Butler

Butler is an up-and-coming player in the NBA and he should be able to frustrate Harden a bit. A tough matchup for Harden but he should still drop his 25-plus.

Edge: Rockets

Small Forward: Chandler Parsons v.s. Mike Dunleavy

Wasn’t Dunleavy supposed to be a member of the Rockets by now?

 Edge: Rockets

Power Forward: Terrence Jones v.s. Carlos Boozer

Is there anyone that Rockets fans hate more than this chump?

Edge: Bulls

Center: Dwight Howard v.s. Joakim Noah

Some of the talk amongst media around the NBA is about which center is the best in the league. Noah is playing at an extremely high level right now, whereas Howard is coming off a rough game. Howard is the better center but Noah is playing better right now.

Edge: Even

Bench:

Rockets – Francisco GarciaOmri Casspi Donatas MotiejunasJeremy Lin, Omer Asik, Jordan Hamilton

Bulls – Taj Gibson, Jimmer Fredette, D.J. Augustin, Tony Snell, Nazr Mohammed

Edge: Even

Injuries:

Rockets –  Greg Smith

Bulls – Derrick Rose

Prediction – Tom Thibodeau and the Bulls have to be angry at their effort against the Spurs. They’ll be angry but I don’t think it will be eougn. I expect a close tight game but the Rockets win 98-94.
