Houston Texans: Earl Mitchell Signs With The Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have reportedly signed Earl Mitchell to a 4-year, $16 million deal with $9 million guaranteed according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The news isn’t surprising as Mitchell’s name was mentioned many times over the last 24 hours. Mitchell was considered a sleeper defensive tackle in this year’s market and gets a nice payday from the Dolphins.

The deal isn’t official but it should be as soon as Mitchell arrives at the Dolphins facility.

I guess people don’t trust fax machines these days.

Mitchell turns 27 at the start of next season. He started 14 games for the Texans last season. PFF rated Mitchell the 51st best defensive tackle in 2013. Mitchell was ranked 47th best defensive tackle based in 2012.
