Ben Volin of the Boston Globe sent out this tweet earlier this evening which likely interested a few Texans fans:

The potential Texans interest in Julian Edelman is not shocking. Bill O’Brien has spent much time with Edelman and the Patriots offense and what better way to start teaching the Texans a new offensive scheme than to have one of his own students and players with him in Houston.
Edelman caught 105 balls for 1,056 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns in all 16 games for the New England Patriots. The free agent picked a great year to stay healthy for the whole season, his first time achieving that feat in his career. Edelman is also a threat on special teams, returning three punts to the house in his five seasons in the NFL.
The 26-year old is likely looking for a nice payday after his big season as the Patriots number one receiver. The Texans will not likely want to pay big bucks to a slot receiver, especially at a position they don’t consider to be a weakness. Keshawn Martin didn’t do much to impress the Texans but could stick around along with DeVier Posey as the Texans third receiver.
Don’t be surprised to hear the Texans name involved in rumors revolving the receiver if the Patriots and Edelman can’t come to an agreement.
