Preview: Houston Rockets v.s. Indiana Pacers

The 42-19 Houston Rockets face the 46-15 Indiana Pacers at Toyota Center. The Rockets are coming off a 12-point win against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, whereas the Pacers loss to the Bobcats by 22 that same night. The last time these two teams faced off the Rockets got absolutely rocked (pun intended) by the Pacers losing by 33 points. This matchup should be different as the Rockets have been red hot since the new year. Tonight’s game is at 8:30 PM and can be seen on ESPN.

The Matchups

Point GuardPatrick Beverley v.s. George Hill

If the Pacers want to beat the Heat it’s pretty simple. GET RID OF HILL. He’s averaging just 11 points and 3.4 assists per game. In more important news…will Beverley wear a mask tonight?

Edge: Even

Shooting GuardJames Harden v.s. Lance Stephenson

Stephenson’s all-around improvement will earn him lots of cash soon. 14.1 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 5.1 apg on 49.6% from the field. I’m impressed!

Edge: Rockets

Small ForwardChandler Parsons v.s. Paul George

George has already past the “budding star” phase and is one of the best players in the NBA. Parsons has a big task tonight.

Edge: Pacers

Power ForwardTerrence Jones v.s. David West

West is one of the most dependable power forwards in the game and is capable of a 25-point night every now and then. After a slow February, Jones is averaging 19.3 points and 11 rebounds per game in March.

Edge: Even

CenterDwight Howard v.s. Roy Hibbert

A key matchup between two of the best in the business at the center position. Still no one better than Howard though.

Edge: Rockets
