Preview: Houston Rockets At Golden State Warriors

The 37-17 Houston Rockets head to Golden State to face the 32-22 Warriors. The Rockets are coming off a 26-point win against the Los Angeles Lakers last night, and look to continue their winning streak which has reached eight. The Warriors will also be on their second game of a back-to-back as they’re coming off a win against the Kings last night. The Rockets are 2-0 against the Warriors this season, defeating them by 4 points in their last game back in 2013, and have won 19 of their last 22 meetings. Tonight’s game is scheduled for 9:30 PM and can be seen on TNT.

The Matchups

Point Guard: Patrick Beverley v.s. Stephen Curry

Curry netted just 20 points in the last matchup between these two teams. The Rockets will likely win if they could hold Curry to anything less than 25 points.

Edge: Warriors

Shooting Guard: James Harden v.s. Klay Thompson

Thompson is averaging 18.3 ppg while shooting close to 41% from beyond the arc. A good, young, promising player in the NBA, but he’s against the league’s best, tonight.

Edge: Rockets

Small Forward: Chandler Parsons v.s. Andre Iguodala

Igoudala is averaging just 9.7 ppg this season, but still provides lots of value on defense.

Edge: Even

Power Forward: Terrence Jones v.s. David Lee

Lee is quietly averaging close to 19 points and 10 rebounds a game. Seriously, I kind of assumed he was having a down year considering the Warrior’s “struggles” and not hearing his name too much.

Edge: Warriors

Center: Dwight Howard v.s. Jermaine O’Neal

O’Neal doesn’t have much of a chance against the league’s best center. Howard is coming off a 20 point, 13 rebound game in under 30 minutes against the Lakers last night. Good luck Jermaine!

Edge: Rockets
