The Houston Rockets are coming off a big win against the Golden State Warriors and stay at home to face the Orlando Magic. The Magic are just 6-13 after getting blown out on the road by the New York Knicks on Friday. The Rockets have struggled against “easier” opponents, losing to teams such as the Raptors, Lakers, and Jazz. The Rockets need keep the momentum from Friday’s Warriors game instead of playing down to the Magic. Tonight’s game is at 6:00 PM and can be seen on CSN Houston.
Nelson is averaging around 12 points/6 assists a game in 16 games this season. He’s shooting just under 38% from the floor, but has been one of the most solid point guards in the NBA for most of his career.
I still can’t believe the Cavaliers chose Anthony Bennett over Oladipo. Oladipo has started in just 9 of his 19 games this season but is averaging 14.1 ppg. He has struggled from beyond the arc shooting just 28.8% from three, and is also averaging 3.74 turnovers per game. He has a lot to learn, but he’s an exciting young player.
An exciting scorer in the NBA, Afflalo is averaging 22.4 ppg on 49% shooting, including 46% from three point territory. He’s the guy the Rockets need to keep their eye on and Parsons will have his hands full with the scorer.
Terrence Jones has had to face many tough power forwards, but tonight he gets a bit of an easier assignment with Nicholson. Jones coming off a bounce back game and has the edge tonight.
Vucevic is averaging around 15/11 this season but will be out for tonight’s Rockets game. Glen Davis gets the start, and is averaging 13/5.5 this season.
