The Utah Jazz are just 3-15 this season but are coming off a 112-104 win over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. Both teams are coming off a day of rest after winning this past Saturday night. The Jazz seem to be in full tank mode whereas the Rockets are clearly gunning for the ring. With that said, shouldn’t the Jazz just lay down tonight? It’d be a win-win for both teams! The Rockets defeated the Jazz 104-93 earlier this season and lead the season series 1-0. Tonight’s game is at 8:00 PM and can be seen on CSN Houston.
Burke has started just four games this season and is struggling from the field (36.6%). I expect his FG% to rise as the season goes on, but has a tough matchup with Beverley tonight.
The team’s leading scorer at 16.3 ppg, Hayward shot just 3-11 from the field in Saturday’s win. The Rockets will have to have their eyes on the sharpshooter and it wouldn’t surprise me if Parsons saw some time on Hayward.
Averaging just 10.4 points in 18 starts this season, Jefferson is likely on one of his last contracts in his career. He’s making $11 million this season and won’t make anywhere near that amount if he plays next season.
Williams is making just his fifth start at PF this season. He’s been playing well in his time, but Terrence Jones has been even better as of late.
Favors is averaging 13.2/9.5 this season and is one of the better younger big men in the game. However, Howard is the best in the game.
