Week 12 – Houston Texans v.s. Jacksonville Jaguars: What To Watch For?

Eight straight losses. Who would have thought?!? I don’t think even the biggest of Texans pessimists predicted it to be this bad. And now we get our biggest “who are we really worse than” test of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Let’s take a look at “what to watch for” in today’s Texans/Jaguars game.

Game Information

12:00 PM CT, November 24th, 2013

Reliant Stadium, Houston, TX

CBS

You can stream the game live on NFL Live Stream and NFL Game Rewind following the game.

Note: Due to the Texans terrible season I felt as if we all needed a little humor in our lives to cheer us up until another Texans disappoint today before we finally break out of our eight-game losing streak.

  • Brice McCain – Maybe he should be in the “please don’t watch for the sake of your appetite” article, but McCain will be (unfortunately) forced into the starting lineup which means a lot of yards for opposing teams. The Texans claimed Justin Rogers earlier this week which means he may see some time in dime situations, even though he’s been atrocious himself this year. What I’m trying to say is GET BETTER KAREEM!
  • Gary Kubiak – What will he do next? Pulling his young QB for “confidence reasons” was a terrible mistake and it shouldn’t be surprising to see him make another crazy switch. J.J. Watt at cornerback? Andre Johnson at Right Tackle? Let’s hear your thoughts on what’s next for Kubiak.
  • Outside Linebackers – Anyone know where the Texans outside linebackers have been this season? All I remember was hearing the preseason hype of both Whitney Mercilus and Brooks Reed but I have yet to see them make positive plays on the field. I have seen their name on the back of jerseys trailing their opponent’s but not getting to the quarterback. Are those the same guys?!?
  • The Draft Pick – A Texans loss would make the draft pick battle very interesting. Though the Texans would be last in the AFC South, they’d still lose the draft pick tiebreaker to the Jaguars. The Texans would need to lose both Jaguars game to all but ensure them a very high pick. You think the Texans go for that?
