Houston Sports On TV: September 23rd-29th

Every Monday I hope to provide you with the important TV information for this city’s sports teams. Here’s a look at this week’s TV schedule. This week’s highlighted game is the Astros last game of the season. You probably didn’t expect an 100+loss Astros team to be the apart of a highlighted game, but it will likely be a sellout crowd at Minute Maid Park that day even with the Texans in town against the Seahawks. The reason for the big crowd is not because it’s the last game of the season, but rather because it’s the last game in Mariano Rivera‘s career. Rivera has had a hall-of-fame career and Minute Maid Park will likely be the stadium where he heads to the mound to throw his final pitch. Both the Texans and Astros are in town on Sunday so those inside of Houston should beware of the highway and road traffic. Here is the rest of the schedule for the upcoming week.
