A comeback victory in regulation and a comeback victory in overtime. Not many other ways to keep making come-backs. This week the Texans travel to Baltimore to visit the 1-1 Ravens. The defending Super Bowl champions will be honoring Ray Lewis during the game. The Ravens are one of the contenders in the AFC and this is sure to be a close battle. Let’s take a look at what to watch for in today’s Texans – Ravens game.
- Flacco v.s. Reed – It sounds like Ed Reed will be active for today’s game against the Ravens. The former Raven, Reed is sure to be excited to make his debut against his former team. Flacco should know all of Reed’s tendencies from the hundreds of practices together. Will Flacco attack a potentially injured Reed or will he look elsewhere?
- Duane Brown Out – With All-Pro LT Duane Brown ruled out of today’s game, Ryan Harris will take over Schaub’s blindside. This is a big matchup for Harris against Terrell Suggs. The Texans are going to need a big-time performance from Harris as they are sure to bring pressure on Matt Schaub all game.
- Wide-Left or Wide-Right? – Randy Bullock has been the opposite of dependable the last two weeks. Another iffy performance and the Texans will be forced to bring in another kicker to push Bullock.
- Rice or Pierce – Just like the Texans, the Ravens have two running backs capable of playing time on most teams. Ray Rice has been nicked up all week with a hip injury and is likely to sit against the Texans. If Rice can’t go, the Ravens are confident in Bernard Pierce‘s ability to replace Rice.
The Texans-Ravens game should be a close one today. Check back soon for my Texans/Ravens preview and predictions. Go Texans!
